Psychodrama Training for Therapist
Ongoing training sessions are offered for psychotherapists who want to add psychodrama to their skill base to lead groups and enhance their work with individual clients and couples.
Psychodrama is an active and creative therapy where personal stories are enacted and explored to work through problems. The training is designed to teach trainees the theory and develop the skills needed to be an effective group leader/ psychodrama director.
The goal of psychodrama is to gain insight, work through problems, practice new skills and behaviors to take into the world. It is proven to be effective to treat a variety of conditions including:
- Attachment issues
- Social anxiety
I am a TEP, a nationally certified trainer, educator and practitioner of psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy. I have been active in psychodrama since 1994 and am passionate about training others in the technique and methods of psychodrama.
As a Trainee:
You will become part of a community of learners embracing their spontaneity using the theory and methods created by J.L. Moreno, the founder of psychodrama. The group offers personal growth work while you learn and practice sociometry (how to measure and optimize the connection between people in groups) psychodrama and role theory. You will learn the roles and skills of being a group member, auxiliary ego, protagonist and director.
Each workshop offers training hours towards the requirements to become a nationally certified practitioner of psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy.
An interview session is required for each person where we will assess your needs and make sure that the training is a good fit.
Contact me with any questions, to get the dates of upcoming trainings and to set up an interview.
I look forward to meeting with you and starting your psychodrama adventure!
